Local Pas-de-Calais Markets
French markets
- are a part of every day life in many towns and villages. The markets are generally held in the mornings – one or two days a week and close about 1pm.
The markets are vibrant colourful places that open your senses. Stalls laden with the fresh vegetables, local cheeses, great fish and home produced goodies entice you to fill your shopping bag. Many of the markets also offer a range of other goods from cookware to shoes, and even beds. You will often also often find the surrounding area flourishes into an interesting flea market. My favourite is the spit roasted chicken to be found in the Le Touquet market on a Saturday morning.
