The Real Paris Plage Beach – Paris or Le Touquet?

But hang on a minute there is already a Paris-Plage also known as Le Touquet-Paris-Plage .
Denying any agreement or friendly collaboration, the mayor of Paris ends up bringing a lawsuit against the town of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, so that it ceases not to use the name.

Dismissed in 2006, the mayor of Paris is forced  to add an “s” in the name of his operation, which became Paris-Plages, which opened a new “beach” on the left bank in front of the Bibliothèque nationale.

The 2009 edition of Paris-Plages will be held in Paris from 20 July to 20 August.
